1. Information we collect

Account information: your email address and password (stored securely, never in plain text).

Content you create: photos you upload and the text you write, along with the suggestions generated for them.

Usage and device information: basic technical data needed to run and troubleshoot the app.

Safety records: logs of uploads kept to help keep the service safe (see the Acceptable Use Policy).

2. How we use your information

To provide the core experience — signing you in, storing your practice, and generating language feedback.

To send your text and photos to our language-model provider for processing so we can return suggestions.

To keep Narrate safe and to detect and respond to misuse.

To fix problems and improve the app.

3. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run Narrate, under agreements that limit how they may use it.

These include our backend and storage provider (Supabase) and the AI provider that generates suggestions. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect people from harm.

4. Storage and security

Your data is stored with our backend provider and transmitted over encrypted connections. We take reasonable measures to protect it, but no system is perfectly secure.

Your data may be processed in countries other than your own; where that happens we rely on appropriate safeguards.

5. How long we keep it

We keep your content while your account is active. If you delete an item or your account, we remove the associated content within a reasonable period, except where we must retain limited records (for example, safety logs) to comply with the law.

6. Your choices and rights

You can view and delete your saved practice in the app, and you can delete your account. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or erase your personal data.

7. Children

Narrate is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child under 13 has an account, please contact us at privacy@narrate.day and we will remove it. Users between 13 and 18 need a parent or guardian to agree to the Terms of Service with them.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Narrate changes. We will note the effective date and, for material changes, notify you in the app.
